Photographer's Note
My favourite day on Lanzarote I spent on the neighbouring island called La Graciosa. The island is part of the Chinijo Archipelago, a group of small islands north of Lanzarote. This picture was taken from Lanzarote towards La Graciosa. This exact viewpoint is called the Mirador del Rio, after El Rio which is the name of the strait between the two islands. To get to La Graciosa you can take a catamaran tour, but this would give you just a brief experience of the island. Instead, I drove to the little town called Orzola, from which there are ferries departing every 30 min to La Graciosa. After landing there we took a Jeep taxi which took us to one of the most distant places on the island, a spectacular beach, Playa de las Conchas. It is there where we have climbed a red coloured volcano and later enjoyed, almost undisturbed by other people, one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. Before I show you a couple of shots from La Graciosa, I wanted to show you a view of the island from a distance, so that you can better imagine what I am talking about.

Hello Mariusz,
For a moment I thought you were showing a photo taken from the plane. But the rocks in the foreground made it clear.
That little island for sure has a very beautiful name.
We can see a white town and a harbour.
Can you also stay on La Graciosa? Or would you advise against that?
You've got the whole island nicely within the borders of the photo.

A great view of the entire island surrounded by the deep blue colours of the sea. Also the smooth slopes in the foreground look good, just as the large shadows of the clouds.

Wow ...... what a beautiful panorama of the island of La Graciosa, you were lucky with this great day everything looks wonderful, the day I went it was cloudy, with a lot of mist, wind and very cold, we could hardly be at the Mirador, it was a shame.
A magnificent coloring that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good lighting management and very good sharpness.

Your series from the Canary Islands have definitely put them on my bucket list. Is there another island beyond La Graciosa? I see a faint outline.
