Photographer's Note

This is a paradoxical construction, there is a Muslim mosque, inside a Catholic cathedral, next to a Jewish neighborhood. This is proof that the city is an example of tolerance unique.rnBuilt in 786 as a mosque, is striking element inside a series of arches and 1300 red and white columns of marble and granite.rnDuring the Christian reconquest of Cσrdoba in 1236 the site was converted into a church with the inclusion of several Christian elements, the most interesting is to note the coexistence of two different architectures in the same space.rnThe city of Cordoba, UNESCO World Heritage Site, was once one of the most important cities in the world. Passed by there Carthaginians, Visigoths, Romans, Arabs and Jews, all these millennia and centuries of civilization made it a precious confluence of architecture, arts and religious expressions.rnThe strong Muslim influence, which can be seen in the small streets in the old center and especially in his mosque, the main attraction of the city.
