Öùôïãñáößåò

La Segarra es una comarca del interior de Cataluña, (España) y su capital es Cervera. Se sitúa en la provincia de Lérida y limita al noreste con el Solsonés, al este con Anoia, al sur con la Cuenca de Barberá, al oeste con la comarca del Urgel (comarca) y al noroeste con la Noguera.
La importancia histórica de la Segarra se ve reflejada en los restos arqueológicos o monumentales que se conservan en muchos lugares de la comarca: prehistóricos (Sant Guim de Freixenet), romanos (Guissona), románicos (Cervera), góticos (Les Pallargues), barrocos (Sant Ramon) y modernistas (el sindicato de Cervera).

En cuanto a cultivos, hallamos los llanos cerealistas y el olivo y el almendro en la montaña media. La ganadería constituye un importante complemento de la agricultura. La industria proporciona numerosos puestos de trabajo en las poblaciones más importantes: Cervera, Guissona, Torà y Sant Guim de Freixenet.

Uno de los atractivos a visitar en la comarca, además del conjunto monumental de Cervera, son los castillos que alberga, que, al principio, fueron talayas en lo alto de las colinas que vigilaban los caminos y que más adelante llegarían a ser núcleos de población.



The Segarra is a region of the interior of Catalonia (Spain) and its capital is Cervera. It is situated in the province of Lerida and confined to the northeast with the Solsonès, on the east by Anoia, with the south basin of Barbera, with the west region of Urgel (district) to the northwest and Noguera.
The historic significance of the Segarra is reflected in the archaeological ruins or monuments that are preserved in many parts of the region: prehistoric (from Sant Guim Freixenet), Roman (Guissona), Roman (Cervera), Gothic (Les Pallargues), baroque (San Ramon) and modernists (the union of Cervera).

As for crops, are the plains cereal and olive and almond trees in the mountains average. Livestock farming is an important complement to agriculture. The industry provides many jobs in the most important towns: Cervera, Guissona, and Torà Sant Guim of Freixenet.

One of the attractions to visit in the region, in addition to the monumental complex of Cervera, are the castles that houses, which, at first, were Talaya high in the hills guarding the roads and who later would become centers of population.
