Photographer's Note

Madrid can have some unexpected surprises, like the building in the background, the oldest in the city, in Moorish Mudejan style.

It's called "Lujanes house" and it was built in the early 15th century as part of a complex to keep captive French king Francis I.

The street in the foreground has an intriguing name ("Calle del Rollo" = "Street of the Roll"), I was unable to determine the reason.
