Photographer's Note
Built by order of Fernando VII during the first Bourbon restoration (between 1808 and 1837) alluding to the mythical Twelve Labors of Hercules. The commission was made to the architect Isidro González Velázquez and the sculptor Juan Adán. Its original location was planned in the rear area of the Casa del Labrador.
The sculptural group, consists of three sculptural groups within the same circular pool, the central one that gives it its name on a column with a stone basement with large arches of padded voussoirs that house fountains, all on stone elements that imitate rocky outcrops, is formed by the sculptures of Hercules-child and the giant Anteus, at the base of several sculptures are distributed that allude to the exploits of Hercules known as the twelve labors of Hercules, the animals that he killed or hunted (the deer of Cerinea, the snakes, the Can Cerberus, the wild boar of Mount Erimanto, the Nemean lion and the Cretan bull) and other representations of monstrous beings: the chimera and the sirens.
The other two groups are symmetrically located on the sides and represent the columns of Hercules with the inscription "Non plus Ultra" and at the base of each one a dragon looking towards the center, the Avila column, to the south, and the from Calpe at the opposite end. The circular pool is low and is simply taped with Colmenar stone, decorated on buttresses of the same material, with 20 lead vases in two different models, ten with goose-shaped handles and the rest with imitation painted seashells. marble.
At his feet we can see allusions to the eleven remaining works that Hercules carried out: the lion of Nemea, the Hydra of Lerna, the boar of Erimanto, the doe of Cerinia, the birds of Lake Stymphalus, the stables of King Augias, the bull of Crete, the mares of Diomedes, the belt of Hippolyta, the oxen of Gerión, the golden apples of the Garden of the Hesperides and the Can Cerberus.

Hello Luis,
A great and very sharp photo of these monuments in the park. The white pillars and sculpture look great in front of the bright blue sky and surrounded by many green colours of the trees. Very good sunlight also, whose exposure you handled well.

Hello Luis,
This is a very neatly composed photo where we see the three tall white monuments elegantly shown along a diagonal. The large pot makes a nice foreground and the hedge provides a good lower frame. The colours are nicely strong and you exposed the photo perfectly.
Best regards,
Gert

Hola Luis,
A fine composition, the f/g anchored with the urn, as a prelude to the trio of tall sculptures, placed to create a good sense of perspective.
The exposure is absolutely pin-sharp.
Well done!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Chosen well this POV, Luis, the monument with two pillars on its side with the bush-fence in front, created a nice sense of depth to the image.
Buen tardes,

Hi Luis
It must be a highly attractive sight with the ancient monuments stand tall as if competing one another for attention. They set off superbly in the environment with lovely layers of colour, textural detail and contrast to blue sky. Excellent featured compo from a sensible pov.

Saludos cordiales.
