Photographer's Note
Frontage of the Passion, Sacred Family.
In this frontage the passion and death of Jesus Christ is represented. The form a veranda and six columns, it is austere, she undresses of adornments and with geometric forms.
It has three doors of entry and the statues are work of sculptor Josep Maria Subirats, very symbolic statues that have supposed a rupture with the figurative concept of the frontage opposite to this one, the frontage of the Nativity, only constructed directly by Gaudν and that is declared a Patrimony of the Humanity by the UNESCO.
Both the construction of the proper frontage and the later interventions of Subirats, they have untied a lot of polemics, since there were authorized opinions that were promulgating not to finish the work after the original planes of Gaudν to have been destroyed during the Civil war, it led a group of intellectuals to signing a manifesto being opposed to the continuity. Between the signatories there was the proper Subirats who later took charge of the achievement of the controversial figures that adorn her.

Hola Charo, excelente foto, me gustan las figuras y los colores de la piedra, aunque son un poco cubistas difieren mucho de la mayorνa de imagenes de las iglesias. Me encantarνa conocer personalmente esta obra de arte. Gracias por mostrarnos estas maravillas que de otro modo no las conocerνa. Felicidades. Un saludo desde Colombia.

Hola Charo,
bonito plano de detalle de estas bonitas esculturas. Yo soy de los que reconocen la belleza del trabajo de Subirachs, es un gran artista, pero tambiιn soy de los que piensan que se ha pervertido el diseρo original de Gaudν en la construcciσn y decoraciσn de la obra nueva de la Sagrada Familia.
Creo que este trabajo contemporαneo no encaja en el conjunto que ideσ el ilustre arquitecto de Reus.
Pero no es mαs que una opiniσn. Por cierto, tu foto es buena y me gusta, especialmente la ventana al cielo azul que contrasta con la piedra de las esculturas y de la fachada.

Gran composicion en esta foto, fuerte estructura de las paredes y una buena toma de las esculturas en la famosa Sagrada Familia.
Me gusta mucho la foto que presentas en tu WS #2, en mi opinion la podrias poner como la principal en alguna ocasion.
