Photographer's Note
This is now a new serie, the last pictures taken at the race start. We are now 2 hours after the race start, going away from the land, yet some of the ships have staid close together for a while. In our case, it was the two French Navy shooners, one in front, Etoile, and one behind, Belle Poule.
This explains why almost nearly all of them will show the French Navy schooner Belle Poule, very close to us at that moment. You are going to see her in very different positions. I will keep in main post my favorite ones, but those in workshop are worth a visit too in my opinion.
To start the serie: down and up in workhops, and a nice bow wave in main post...

Bonjour emmanuel,
La beautι des bateaux...
L'imagination de l'homme pour inventer les meilleures combinaisons de voile me laisse perplexe. Le jeu des rectangles et triangles est magnifique, renforcι par la forme de la coque. Tu continues la tradition des peintres marines...
Bonne journιe,
Paul

I agree with you that this one is the best one. I was attracted by it just seeing in the thumbnail. Of course the cadrage is better and opening it I can see that the light here is really so good. You got a very fine contrast: the ocean so intense blue and the ship/sails so white! and the whole image is vibrating with light. A real pleasure to see.
Have a nice Sunday (here is freezing cold!)

Hi Emmanuel,
Excellent capture of running with the wind, and good detailing of the historical sailboat.
thanks for sharing,

I like this composition the best, more natural less of a formal "portrait"... the ships angle and way, in relation to the sea, makes a beautiful inviting photograph with action...

Salut Emmanuel
Je vote pour la N° 3, meilleur cadrage, la proue se dirige vers le point strategique infιrieur droit et la poupe sur le point stratιgique infιrieur gauche.
Ceci agit sur le subconscient et donne une certaine attraction ΰ cette composition.

Bonjour Emmanuel
Yes, I agree with you, all the WS posts are worth seeing and appreciating the beauty, but without a doubt this is the best. Fantastic contrast between the white body of Belle Poule and the deep blue sea, with its proud white sails also contrasting well with the sky. Excellent!
Best Regards and Joyeux Noλl
