Photographer's Note

As promised, the first two close up of the Russian four-masted bark Kruzenshtern, with full sails. THe one in worlshop is framed lower, and I corrected in this one. Both were taken at the start of race 2 of the Tall Ships' Atlantic Challenge 2009 in Tenerife, as my previous posting here. This is another illustration that the start of the Tall Ships' Races remain the best place to take such pictures, if you do not have your own boat!
The extreme lenght of the ship (114.5 meters) is quite visible in this side view, but Kruzenshern has kept a nice deck line, just disturbed by the modern uggly command post in the middle of the ship, which of course did not existed when she was built in 1926.
Another (and last one for a while) tomorrow.
