Photographer's Note
Ok, for the few who were interested enough to follow the previous ones, this is now the real beginning of race 2 for the mixed A and B classes: 15.00 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, wind force 5 to 6.
We have just spend the previous half hour to set our own sails and are cruising toward the starting line too. And I can pick up the camera again, but the sea is now a bit shoppy and I will post what I got, here are the firs three:
- worskhop 1 is the other French Navy schooner Belle Poule (sail number 30) sailing toward the line,
- main post and workshop 2 show both Belle Poule and Jolie Brise evolving around the line, identified by the little orange boat in the background.
Others to come in the newt days.
PS Elements 6.0
I also have some pictures of my own ship Tecla taken about the same moment by a Russian professional photagrapher, who was on board Kruzenshtern. Really great pictures, taken with a much better camera than mine, a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, but I will not post them because I dod not know the name of the photographer and will not be able to give him credit... They were traded against some of mine in Bermuda. If he was to see this, I thank him a lot.
A very nice week end to all.

Hi, Emmanuel,
Hope this note finds you and yours well. Tremendosu image .. the way you can eel the wind on the water and in the sails is wonderful .. the gentle way the light plays across the sails is wonderful as well. very nice. take care, John

Amitiιs
John

Bonjour Emmanuel
Good contrast between the two vessels, the Jolie Brise and the Belle Poule, in size and colour as well. The wind and the small waves created with white crests in the ample FG makes this wonderful picture. I wish you could share at least one picture of your vessel in a Ws...surely the Russian Photographer won't mind, of course knowing his name would certainly be better to give him due credit!
Best Regards
Angshu
