Very interesting graphic composition.
I like all these lines and this repetition.
The angle of the shot is good and the framing too with this little part of sky.
Original...good idea.

Hi Ste. Great pattern spotted in this hotel, the balconies viewed from this angle make for a nice graphical impression. I also like that a triangle of sky has been kept in the upper left corner. Perhaps a slight counterclockwise rotation to level the verticals but otherwise really well seen and nice how the towels and laundry add some individuality and interest.

Excellent graphical composition with perfect colours. Nice framing with the piece of sky in the upper left corner. The lamppost is really disturbing -- Mark's WS without it is great.

Hi Steven, I like the symmetrical shapes this gives. We saw hotels like this when we were there last year, you don't normally notice them, this shows, there's a photo waiting in the most unlikely of places if you look.

Well Done.

I've done a workshop to remove the lamppost you don't like. I don't think it detracts from the photo really, but I've removed it so you can see how it would look without it. I know it's cheating a bit, but that's the beauty of being digital, although I wouldn't call it a true photo now, but it's nice to play around, and see what you can do. See what you think.

Hi Steven,
Interesting pattern shot and well seen.
It would be perfect if only you found a POV to netirely fill the frame with balconies (meaning: not include any sky or lamp post - the latter can always be cloned out easily).
That's the way I would do it which doesn't necessarily mean your photo's not good - in contrary, it shows us graphically interesting architectural work, whether it's up to our liking or not - and it really looks like a honeycomb!

Well composed. I like the regularity of the balconies contrasted by the irregularity of the towels.
