Photographer's Note
Rateče is a small farming village located in the northwest corner of Slovenia. It sits on foothill of the Karawanke Alps and faces the Julian Alps to the south (as shown in the photo). It is surrounded by fields, meadows, and pastures. Principal economic activities are agriculture and tourism. It is a starting point for a walk to the summit of Peč (also known as Tromeja), the point where the borders of Austria, Italy and Slovenia meet. The settlement of the village was first mentioned in 1385. It still retains much of its historic character. One of the oldest surviving churches in Slovenia, the Church of St. Thomas, is located in the village.

This is a well composed shot using the road to create a diagonal through the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness. The sky is great and you have presented it nicely here.
