Photographer's Note
The Rysy peak (2499 m) is a peak of the main comb of the Tatras mountains situated right on the border between Slovakia and Poland. It consists of three peaks: the north-western (bordering) one, with a beautiful view; the middle (main) one and the south-eastern one, which is the lowest.
Rysy is one of the most visited peaks in the High Tatras. It offers really a breathtaking view at the surrounding panorama ( when fog and clouds do not disturb ).
A world famous nuclear scientist, Marie Curie-Sklodowska and her husband Pierre visited Rysy in 1899. Vladimνr Lenin ascended to the Rysy peak in 1913, too.

Piotr, impressive view of these alpinists climbing a steep rocky slope. That place looks so dangerous. The fog reduces the visibility. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

The persons seen on the steep dark rock make this a very dramatic photo. I suppose they all survived this adventure, but I know for sure I wouldn't have liked to be among them.

Cześc Piotrze, Czytałam niedawno, że są jakieś nowe pomiary i Rysy maja 2500 m.n.p.m. W wydanych niedawno mapach Zakładu Kartograficznego Sygnatura i Wydawnictwa Kartograficzne Polkart znalazły się zaktualizowane dane dotyczące wysokości w Tatrach. Zgodnie z nowymi pomiarami polski szczyt Rysσw ma nie 2499 n.p.m., a 2500 m. Skurczył się za to słowacki wierzchołek tej gσry (2501) Ale fantastyczny widok. Lenin tam był, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Piotr F. ale Emka tam nie była i nie będzie. Chociaz podobno wejscie od słowackiej strony nie jest takie straszne.

I wonder if everyone has noticed the climbers! They give scale and drama to your shot, where the creeping mist seems to be enveloping the slope in a cold, ghostly blanket!

Great looking view from high up on mountains. It is really interesting to see those climbers on sharp edged mountain rocks. Cloud hanging on the slope creates special atmosphere. And foreground rocks give good perspective.

Amazing rock formation and a kind of surreal look dramatised by the misty look. Your shallow dof helps to full focus on the tiny climbers on the steep rocky ridge with good sense of height and vertigo effect. Love the natural earthy tones as well.

nie wiedzialem ze Mari Sklodowska wychodzila na Rysy z mezem.
Bardzo ciekawa notka.
Swietnie ze widac te osoabe w zoltej kurtce w oddali to pozwala wyobrazic sobie skale i daje niesamowity efekt koncowy.
Warunki trudne przy takiej pogodzie wolalyby pozostac w dolinie :)

Hello Piotr,
The fog is coming up strongly. That can happen very quickly.
Both persons are therefore not in the best position on that rock and should quickly find a safer place.
Yet that rock is still very well lit by the sun.
