Photographer's Note
Strebske pleso — is the second largest glacial lake in Slovak side of High Tatras and the fifth in whole Tatras (19,76 ha), located on altitude 1350 m in lower part of Mlynicka and Furkotska valleys. In adjacent village and around the lake are located the terminal of Tatras railroad, several comfortable hotels, mountain sking base (with ski-jump) and funiculars (operated only in winter). Here starts several popular hiking route, like: to Mlynicka valley to high-mountain waterfall Skok, to Popradske pleso, hiking to Krivan (2495m) and hiking to highest point of Poland - peak Rysy (2499m).
