If you travel across Romania as a hitch-hiker, you will not waste much time waiting for a lift. That’s my experience. Especially in the province away from big cities local guys would take you after just few tries to stop somebody. That's no problem.
This two rough yet friendly natives took me from one spot to another somewhere around Rimetea/Torocko or Izvoarele. Track off-road ride for 2 lei - nice price.

I love this photo! A lot! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! What a JOY!!!
It is full of life, of spirit, of energy. And so genuine! I like many little "details": the sparkling light in the eye, the smiling/talking mouth, the expressive faces of both guy, the concentration of their gazes, the dirty fingers (working man!), and that cigarette with the fire!!!
Not only the photo itself is good (there is a story there!), but you did your work well.
I am very thrill with this photo Marcin. One of those photos that I would be more than happy to have made myself!

see,Claire love this picture..k..what can say here?it's so typicall romanian this pic...first,for them faces,so mindful,but friendly..and if look at these hands with cigarettes(too much people smoke in my country)said again-a man who works very hardly..even have the car,when was student,travel in the same situation..not the same price,of course.:).they take you money,because your are tourist..not nice,but true..Claire see very,very well all the details from this pic...see myself the same..:)yes,this is a romanian moments..suggest you Danube Delta,Brasov,Sighisoara..of course,Maramures in my opynion is the the best for authentic culture..you already see it!

Jak dobre jest to zdjecie - moglby ktos zapytac...?
Jest dobre. Bardzo dobre. Jest znacznie lepsze niz przewazajaca ilosc dobrych zdjec.
Jest to jedno z tych zdjec ktore porusza wyobraznie, ktore kaze sie domyslac warunkow w jakich powstalo..
Moment zlapany fantastycznie. Prezentacja udana.
Wystawiles do oceny zdjecie niepowszednie, i czuje sie zobowiazny dac taka a nie inna ocene.

Hi Marcin,
It's like we are all in the truck with you. That photo is so natural and full of life.
I am trying to decide about something though:
On the one hand the photo is so excellent, it is like if the photographer was not with them in the truck, like if they were just the two of them, having a friendly conversation and definately going somewhere.
On the other hand I am wondering if the little smile they both have could come from the fact that you are actually pointing a camera at them. I mean they seem to talk to each other about the fact that you are taking a picture of them.
The photographer is not here, but at the same time he seem to have a real influence on the behavior of those guys.
No matter the answer, the photo is absolutely excellent, no only for the piece of life it shows so well but also for the complexity of thoughts it brings to our minds.
