Photographer's Note
Rβșnov
This is one of the first photos I took in Romania and shows the main square in the town of Rβșnov, not far from our first hotel, on a quiet Sunday morning. It is a town of about 15,000 inhabitants, located halfway between the town of Bran (where I took my previous post) and Brașov (the largest city in the district).
This square is called Piaţa Unirii (Union Square).

Jag stannade till hδr pε vδgen till Bran, bara fφr att se det gamla slottet, men det var tillfδlligt stδngt "av sδkerhetsskδl", fφr att delar hφll pε att rasa samman! Jag upptδckte just att jag tog en enda bild under mitt korta besφk hδr, och det rεkade vara nδstan precis som denna. Fast den hδr δr bδttre, fφr du har en vidare vinkel. Men jag hade lika fint vδder och bra ljus. ;-)

Van deze plaats had ik nog nooit gehoord.
Blijkbaar heel wat anderen evenmin want het lijkt totaal verlaten. Misschien had iedereen zich verborgen voor Graaf Dracula ...
Een mooi verzorgd pleintje met mooie huizen rondom en een kerktoren die boven de daken oprijst.
Op de voorgrond vinden we een merkwaardig niet al te groot gebouw met een grote klok.
Je had blijkbaar heel mooi weer in Roemeniλ.

Hi Lars,
Very picturesque square. The weather made a huge difference -with the nice light the colors became much better pronounced.
Very attractive composition with the stylish architecture, the tree still naked well balances the composition on the other side.
The plant pots across the square make a nice repeated motif.
Beautiful place, and a new country in your TE gallery. So pity that the maps don't work!

It's not a big town. But still I'm a bit surprised that there seems to be nobody around on such a lovely spring day. Buildings are old but everything there is neat and tidy.

I definitely thought Rasnov was worth visit in its own right and spent a few days there. The castle was a must see attraction but this square is nice too. Tfs!
