Photographer's Note
Transfagarasan Road (national road 7C) is the best way of crossing the Fagaras Mountains with a car.
After the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, Ceausescu, being afraid of a Soviet invasion, ordered the building of a strategic road, in this way being able to transfer troops and munitions from one side to the other of the Carpathians. The construction of the road took more than 4 years, since March 1970 till 20th September 1974. It was built manly by the army, the human and material costs being enormous. The road, inaugurated by the dictator, uneconomic for goods transportation, is a fascinating tourist route, representing through out summers the most impressive and spectacular way of crossing the Carpathians.
The road, having 2 lanes, starting from Curtea de Arges, arrives after 30km at the Vidraru Dam, the point toward "The road of the Sky".

Hi Daniel,
This is a very beautful and harmonious compostion. The small road wndng nto the fog looks very peacefull today, far from it's original destination it really seems a great tourist destination today. The colors are of course great and the softness of the autumn mountains you captured is very beautfull.

Superba aceasta imagine a drumului ce serpuieste printre muntii invaluiti in ceata. Culorile toamnei aduc ceva in plus frumusetii acestui loc..
