Surf day ends in Peniche.
After a day of Sea, Surf & Sun, it's time for the guys to store the boards for the night and to find themselves another occupation for the evening like... huh, lemme guess... Scrabble.
Somehow, they reminded me the guys in the Lords of Dogtown.

An excellent shot. Although the scenery is completely different, it floods me with memories from leaving the beach in Perth on a hot afternoon. You've done well to shoot into the sun and still retain such a good image.

Well captured movement, with tilt, giving this "surfy", end of day, feel to the image. and also the feel of the end of summer, in this late afternoon light ... :-(

Moody no doubt this one,and nice diagonal format,I think that a
superwide lens would have been even more effective here.

Funny, I thought they were rushing for the evening waves at the setting sun...
Excellent framing with the boys and the sun. Backlight gives good dark brown tones to shadow.

En regardant la photo, j'avais plutτt l'impression qu'ils allaient surfer. Le fait qu'ils foncent vers l'ouest, ΰ grands pas, la tκte haute. Ca donne un impression de dynamisme. La lumiθre bien chaude de fin de journιe est superbe. Une diagonale ΰ la prιcision nanomιtrique ;-)

i just love golden hour, i always have and always will.
it makes the world such a beautiful place, at least visually a better one. i think turning towards light is a general aim ... flowers do it too, right? ok, maybe we don't aim for the same light ;o) (not even we, terestrial walking, crawling, dancing our way through beings ... don't aim for the same light)
love the 'liquid' golden pavement here, the golden skin of the surfers and the eyelead/perspective towards this non-scrabble(d) evening ... good one!

Hi Luko
To be honnest they look like to be heading right to the beach for a final surf session at the end of the afternoon as they're going towards the sun that is supposed to be setting at the seaside. Maybe a nice end of the afternoon session at world famous Supertubos Beach in Peniche.
Nevertheless, this is a very good use of the light to make everything shine in gold tones and good tilt to give the photo dinamism.

Great light and great diagonal line of composition
the light is really well managed
a very good balanced shot with the boys and the car on the top and at the end of the diagonal line of the wall
I miss Peniche in my last trip, but i hope to visit this little town next time

i really love this picture because of the tilt, the placement of the sun and the glow it gives to everything, and the texture of the cobblestones at the bottom :)
