Represa - II, a photo from Beja, South

So I guess I'm posting my last photo for now before I leave on holidays:)

I've chosen another photo of the Church of Represa that I've shown some days before. These are the same houses we could see on te left side. I've decided to show them because they are a perfect example of the architecture of this region, even the chimney.
As I've said before, Represa is a little rural church situated a few kilometres far from Cuba. It dates from 16th century and it was formerly devoted to Sγo Caetano, who was very famous for his miracles. The church used to receive lots of pilgrims, as we can still see there - within the wall around the church there are still houses where they used to shelter (like the one we can see here). However, near the church, there was an old Roman dam, there are still ruins of it. This dam would later give a new name to the church that became then devoted to Our Lady of the Dam (or Represa, in Portuguese).

Olα Ana,
Gostei imensamente desta foto e de um detalhe em particular: aquela αrvore ali, vocκ a captou na parede da igreja, os galhos reais, acho que de uma outra αrvore, dγo continuidade aos galhos "espelhados" (a sombra ι um espelho em P&B, nι ? ;-)
E hα, ainda, outra sombra de αrvore se esgueirando ali, em diagonal, e querendo sair pelo telhado (coincidκncia, hα atι uma elevaηγo).
Ficou muito interessante, multidimensional!

curiosa essa Igreja, diferente de qualquer outra que ja vi, se vocκ nγo falasse isso na nota eu ia achar que isso era uma escola! Gostei da qualidade da foto, excelente, como sempre.

very different to my expectations of a church. Well composed capture with the good POV including the branches and giving perspective. And the fine textures in the light are marvelous. You have a golden hand for such walls.
