Przypomniales mi ten dowcip, o tym jak to dwoch kumpli 'czytalo' co tylko im wpadlo pod reke, a potem poszli do 'malej biblioteczki' innego kolegi. W 'malej drukarence' 'czytali' wszystko, co tamten 'wydrukowal' :)

Great scene, great placement of the subjects, and great light. Yes, this is real Lisboa here. I see these images going through my mind everyday. They actually discuss more the game of cards then literature, but it's also possible. It's really a great photo. Thanks

PS: Have I told you that I would love to see this untinged? I thought so...

Great capture, the shadows and the mono colour work very well, but as ever it's the story behind the picture. I'd love to know what the book is? It almost looks out of keeping in the scene, a plain brown envelope would be what to expect. The literary mafia, alive and well. Good shot

Just observing how serious the other two look, the matter must have been very important! I will bet you the guy was just saying how disappointed he was after his club lost the final match of the national league. Football is the people’s opium in Portugal. Well done.

Ca³a ta seria jest wyjatkowo dobra. Co ciekawe, mimo i¿ ¶wiat³a w tle balansuj± na krawêdzi przepalenia to jednak twarze pokazujesz w zdecydowanym cieniu. Bardzo dobrze wp³ywa to zarówno na kompozycjê zdjêcia jak i jego nastrój. Zwisaj±ce listowie w górnej czê¶ci wzmacnia intymno¶æ nastroju skupiaj±c go woków ciasnych relacji wi±¿±cych g³ówne postaci w kadrze. Ca³o¶æ to górna pó³ka i niezwykle dobrze odbiera siê ten obraz. Gratulujê!

Very nice capture, Jerzy! I like the casual way you captured these fellas dynamic, the way they look at the standing friend, the gesture of the hand with the book...The cigarette man surely does the trick here!
I wish the book was not so close to the guy's head - a bit disturbing to the whole scene...Even so, it's a well captured moment!

I don't know where to start to catch up on this wonderful series of Portugeuse street images J - so this latest one will have to do for now in the hope i get the time to comment on the others - beautiful contrast and tone, classical composition and great relationship across the frame - ylou have captured such character and life - goodfellas indeed! Very nice mature work J - fantastic!

Ciekawa jest ta twoja portugalska seria. Interesuj±ce twarze tych ludzi. Zdjêcie ma swój klimat. W g³ównej mierze przez to, ¿e jest czarno bia³e. Ciekawa scenka rodzajowa.

po prostu Ty facet robisz zdjecia, a patrzec moge na te akurat - godzinami... sa fotki przypadkowe ta wyglada jakby rzezbil ja mistrz starannie pieszczac kazdy detal...

Well composed with quite a disparate group of "goodfellas." The clarity of detail is superb, particularly on the fellow on the left. The animated expression of the one, the laconic expression of the fellow with the cigarette, and the rather hidden, perhaps bemused expression of the man with the shades, all add to the intrigue - just what exactly are they here for? Another first rate capture, Jerzy. Have a good weekend.

A shot typical of a movie scene. It's a little pity that the book slightly covered the middle man face. Otherwise a good capture of the typical life of goodfellas in Portugal. You are right also that perhaps in Portugal only that they talk about literature, where I am the only book that I may perhaps see is a book that helps predict the next coming lottery numbers. Hello Jerzy,
This is so typical from here the old means sitting on a bench or at the table under a tree. If there was four and a cards deck we could guess what would be next. I'm not going to enter on tech details because I know you don't like thiis but I have to say the light is splendid as their placement on the compo.
