Photographer's Note
It takes deep diving from the cliff
to enter
the Gate to Atlantis.
The small Portuguese islet of Vila Franca do Campo, in the Azores, allows the athletes to perform two of their dives directly off the rocks. Never before in the World Series has a competition been held in such a natural cliff diving environment.
Also wowing a 2,000-strong crowd who converged on the islet in their boats and kayaks was Michal Navratil (CZE) with a reverse somersault with three positions.

Hi Ilena,
A really intensive moment! Also his expression is very concentrated, trying to manage extremely hard sports performance. Fantastic light. Layers on those rock cliffs also show very clearly.

The figure of the jumper is worth the olympic gold medal, so is the unique capture worth two points and a smile :)
