Photographer's Note

The Capuchos convent, is a romantic and beautiful monument built in the year 1558 and shows a modest but quite elegant, is situated on Costa da Caparica, the municipality of Almada.
Badly shaken by the destructive force of the earthquake of 1 November 1755, the monastery was almost completely destroyed, leaving only its front. Still, it is possible to recall its primitive appearance.
Notes also its beautiful gardens and care, as well as the gazebo, which has a privileged view of the Costa de Caparica, Lisbon, Sintra Mountain, Cape Espichel, the Tower of St. Julian, the howler and the Bay of Cascais.
The Capuchos Convent has functioned as a privileged site for the achievement of important cultural events, especially the International Music Festival Capuchos
