Hi TE friends

This is my 700 post in TE. The quality could be better but it was taken in a windy day

I hope you like it !

Oporto is the capital of the North of Portugal. With a wonderful geographical location next to the Douro river mouth, and an exceptional architectural value, the city centre of Oporto is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO since 1996.

Through this District coast several tourist and holiday resorts are located, such as the cosmopolitan beach of Espinho, busy ports such as Matosinhos one, or the traditional fishing ports like Pσvoa do Varzim.

On the country side of Oportos district life is way more peaceful. The choice is wide and pleasant: Amarante and the beautiful River Tβmega, surrounded by lovely mountain ranges and picturesque houses in between majestic manor houses; Vila Nova de Gaia, the main centre for the production of the famous Port wine, where wine is produced and matured, and one can taste the several varieties, or even to go abroad an astonishing tour in one of the Douros cruises

Quality is fantastic and the view is magnificent, very original. Douro makes here interesting zig-zags. You found the great POV and this is very nice photo :). Quasi-blue hour - the river is deep blue, not sky. Beautiful the golden lights. Amazing sharpness , the people are so tiny here.
Congratulations for your beautiful 700 posts!! I like them very much.

Hi Aires,

What a great hommage to your city, a very nice point of view, or should I rather say stunning, considering the height, the angle and the way the river is presented, sneaking through beautiful stream of lights.

The bridge is clearly visible, like a discreet "piece de rιsistance".

The view is fascinating Aires. The zigzag route of the River coming from the Douro Valley, flowing towards the Atlantic and also the contrast of the blue against the golden colours of river side looks wonderful.

I was in Porto at Easter and I just love the city.(and of course the wine) /It reminded me my hometown Izmir / Turkey. These 2 cities have lots of common features.
