This is a view of Lisbon in a cold and rainy evening

Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal. It is also the seat of the district of Lisbon and capital of the Lisbon region. Its municipality, which matches the city proper excluding the larger continuous conurbation, has a municipal population of 564,477 in 84.8 km2 (33 sq mi), while the Lisbon Metropolitan Area in total has around 2.8 million inhabitants, and 3.34 million people live in the broader agglomeration of Lisbon Metropolitan Region (includes cities ranging from Leiria to Setϊbal). Due to its economic output, standard of living, and market size, the Grande Lisboa (Greater Lisbon) subregion is considered the second most important financial and economic center of the Iberian Peninsula.[3] The Lisbon region is the wealthiest region in Portugal and it is well above the European Union's GDP per capita average it produces 45% of the Portuguese GDP. It is also the political center of the country, as seat of government and residence of the Head of State.

Lisbon was under Roman rule from 205 BC; Julius Caesar made it a municipium called Felicitas Julia, adding to the name Olissipo. Ruled by a series of Germanic tribes from the 5th century, it was captured by Moors in the 8th century. In 1147, the Crusaders under Afonso Henriques reconquered the city for the Christians and since then it has been a major political, economic and cultural center of Portugal. Unlike most capital cities, Lisbon's status as the capital of Portugal has never been granted or confirmed officially by statute or in written form. Its position as the capital has formed through constitutional convention, making its position as de facto capital a part of the Constitution of Portugal.

This is an interesting Christmas tree with a high tech look. The blue hour capture is great having the blue background for the tree. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Hi aires, geometric conical Christmas tree. we have something similar in warsaw. usually we had just a big tree but maybe it is more ecological? It looks huge and beautifully lit. Original perspective and colours.

Confesso que desde que vi o post do Filipe que tenho ideia de ir tentar a minha sorte com essa αrvore de Natal gigante, mas a preguiηa tem sido mais forte, com o mau tempo a dar excelentes pretextos para os adiamentos. Por acaso passei lα perto uma hora antes de teres tirado esta...
A luz, cores e definiηγo estγo estupendas e o enquadramento estα bem feito, embora me interrogue se nγo poderia ser mais interessante - nγo faηo ideia dos constrangimentos do local, mas ter os postes descentrados e a αrvore centrada nγo me parece assim tγo boa ideia.

bellissimo e originale questo albero di Natale.
L'ora blu crea molta atmosfera e dona all'albero un ottimo sfondo con il quale ben contrasta.
Eccellente lo sharp e il grafismo delle luci.

Bom dia Aires, andas a fazer concorrκncia ao Filipe... ;-) As cores e a exposiηγo estγo excelentes resultando numa imagem muito bonita. O enquadramento da αrvore entre os pilares lα trαs tambιm estα bom, mas tendo em conta a centralidade fico a pensar na simetria perfeita em vez do ligeiro descentramento dos pilares. Gosto muito das tonalidades no cιu.

Hello Aires, this Christmas tree was in Porto last year and in Praηa do Commercio two-three years ago. I liked its new location which is more visible from many parts of Lisbon.
In your photo, it's very much in harmony with the background of the blue-hour.

belle photo prise a l' heure la plus apprιciιe des photographes de nuit, juste aprθs le coucher de soleil, le moment ou tout le ciel devient bleu et ou les dιtails comme ceux du sapin colorι ressortent de maniθre plus forte et plus nette.

This is an amazing Christmas decoration, but I'm not sure I will call it a tree, hehehe!
However the seasonal atmosphere is present and the colourful "tree" stands out very well in the city scene...
