Photographer's Note
Alfama is one of the oldest, if not the older, neighborhoods in Lisbon. It is set in one of the hills, streets are steep and narrow, houses are old. This and other factors discourage people to live there, except students, bohemians and artists. This means that you'll see a mix of seniors with a refreshing new crowd.
This picture shows the abandonment side of Alfama. I was climbing a calηada (a steep street with stairs on the sidewalk) when I say this room through a barred window.
