Photographer's Note
For the correct Dιgustation (tasting) of Ice Cream, follow these steps...
- Come from a northern country to southern Europe. Walk for an hour or two in the Sun.
- At that time, buy an Ice Cream and sit with a friend on the fresh stony steps of a cathedral.
- Hold the Ice Cream up against the Sun and appreciate its color, texture, transparency, etc.
- Smell it while holding it slightly sideways. This is the most important part, of course. If tasting many Ice Creams you should only get to this part, do not proceed to the other steps or you might get intoxicated.
- Bring it to your lips and delicately perform la Dιgustation.
- Close your eyes and consider carefully the mixture of aromas, the texture, graininess and temperature; try to identify fruits and other natural elements included in the Ice Cream. Thinks about how it melts. Think of ten to twelve adjectives from other semantic fields that apply. All this can be a bit complicated, so concentrate; see the above illustration for a professional execution of this step.
PS - I also considered using the title Before / After for this one, but I gave up because it seemed a bit aggressive... :-)

Olα Peter!

I can feel the hot sun and the bright Lisbon light in their backs. I think that's the perfect time for practicing la Dιgustation. Like this classic image, classically composed and registered. No fuchsia fireworks today. :) Once in a while, I guess that even you like to descend into the real world. ;) Very nice photo.

Hello Peter,
A good photo of the ice cream afficianados. I love ice cream even when it is 20 degrees F below zero. Hot or cold it is always time for ice cream. I just had ice cream two days ago and my dotor told me to lay off of it a bit (cholesterol). Perfect shot for the beginning of Summer coming around the corner!

Grande post.

Hi, Peter.
No bad...no too bad...but no so exciting...the scene is rather common...and I am wondering about the impact of this scene...I can't see the impact, here...
Technicaly...maybee too clear ?
But is nothing disturbing...and is a rather nice scene.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Felicidades amigo.
Un saludo.

Smart pair eating. Superb poses, fine situation. I like lights and shadows of stairs, too.

Thank god the pink borders gone Peter ;) You have gone over my head with your notes but I get the gist of them. Make mental note. I must take more pictures with people in them. They are far more interesting. Nice one. Lick it :))) ha ha. Get it? Lick... Oh never mind.

Olα Pedro,
O semblante da parceira estα to tipo.. Hummmm! Well! Maybe I'll try another flavor.
Nice shot & Keeping Going,
Strong Hug,
Marco Marques
