Photographer's Note

Hi evereone!

Has I promised to you, here you can see the original object which provided the wonderful reflections youve saw on my last photo.
This gigant bell its part of the Christmas lightings here in Lisbon at Dom Pedro IV Square (commonly known as Rossio).
Dom Pedro IV as a daughter named D.Maria II whos name he decided to give to the theatre visible on the right side, behind this bell, which is known as National Theatre D. Maria II (constructed in 1836 and inaugurated in 1846 by 27th D. Maria II birthday anniversary occasion).
On the left side, you can see several souvenir shops, goldsmithery and coffee houses, installed on nice Pombaline architectural buildings (from 18th century, constructed by Marquκs de Pombal, after the earthquake, which happened in 1755).

This is a great night shot which you have exposed extremely well. The silvers and golds congtrast very nicely against the black of the sky. I would have perhaps gone for a less central composition. But this is great work nonetheless.

Ola Rosa,

Otimo manejo da luz. O sujeito fotografado e interessante e reflete bem o espiroto desta epoca natalina, so acho que talvez a foto funcionasse ainda melhor se o sino estivesse descentrado na composicao.

Esta tambιm estα muito bonita, Rosa. Dada a escuridγo nem dα para perceber que a estαtua estα cortada, ou ι impressγo minha? De qualquer das maneiras nγo ι importante. O efeito visual desta decoraηγo ι muito bem conseguido (bem mais do que durante o dia!) e a definiηγo estα bastante boa. Eu talvez descentrasse mais a composiηγo...Excelente trabalho!

A beautiful and well decorated light bell as a contribution to Christmas lightings, your exposure is good here and having a tripod helped keep the view sharp, I like the people to be seen around for they gice scale and we can see how big it is really.

It's a marvellous bell Rosa. The white of the lights almost look like sheets of stars, incredible. Also, it is interesting that you caught the couple of people standing just in front of the bell, they definately let one know how large the bell really is. Very well done, maybe you can get the shot in the blue hour as well to show us how that would look. It might bring out the colors a little more.
