Photographer's Note

Despite its German-sounding name, Burgau is a really Portuguese fishing village and beach in the southern shore of the Algarve. It's quite calm, at least in winter and spring. This beach is the eastern limit of the Nature Park of Alentejo and Cape So Vicente Coasts. I guess, by the size of the village, that even in summer its not as busy as the more famous beaches of the Algarve, like nearby Praia da Luz or even the also small Praia do Vau.
This is just 4 km (2.5 mi) west of Praia da Luz, the village from where a little girl, Madeleine, was abducted from a tourist resort last 3 May. Police asks for photos of the area around that day, to get clues about the possible culprits. The nearest I have is this, and even so it was more than one month before (and the people in it are just a women and a girl at right, in very small size).
The missing girl is, unfortunately, one in many, but in her case the parents have the means to move the media. I wish they find the girl and help finding others and many others too.
Location of Burgau in WikiMapia: 37.0717603, -8.7750882.
