Photographer's Note
Foz do Arelho is located 8 km west of Caldas da Rainha, in the Northwest end of the council, and is limited north by the Atlantic Ocean and by the freguesia of Serra do Bouro. By South is delimited by the ocean basin of Lagoa de Óbidos (Óbidos Lagoon) and freguesia of Nadadouro. East by the limits between the freguesias of Serra do Bouro and Nadadouro and West by the ocean basin of Lagoa de Óbidos and the Atlantic Ocean
Foz do Arelho started as being a small village belonging to the freguesia of Serra do Bouro, and was promoted to the category of freguesia in July the 5th, 1919. As far as it can be remembered, Foz do Arelho was always a seasonal vacation resort, chosen by the elite families. Worthy of notice, is the wealthy businessman Francisco Almeida Grandela, which promoted several local activities, such as schools, etc… which helped to develop the region, and increased the life-quality of the local inhabitants

Hi Isabel,
This is a very elegant shot indeed. Colours are great, of course, but what makes the magic of your image is the eye being taken all th way to the horizon, on different paths: the sand path, or the paved one, or the dark one on the left hand side. All under a huge, wild sky. Very good job, Isabel! --amz

Very good composition Isabel! The colors are vivid and stunning! The stipes lead the eye from one booth to the next, developing the scene quite well! The sky formation is also good!
TFS!

Hi Isabel. It's not the first time that I see pictures of this but you composed it in a very good manner. Good slight off-centering and due to your pov you create a good depth with the blue one in the back. Well done; very attractive.

Hello Isabel,

Excelente.

Hi,
Very nice photo. The interaction of blue and yellow, the brown earth and the grey and white sideway have alltogether made a perfect harmony. Still, 'yellow' has big impact in the photo in my opinion. Compliments.
