V Houses, a photo from Madeira, Islands

Photographer's Note

Santana is considered one of the parish council most colorful of the Island of the Wood, not only for its majestical forest landscapes, constituted to a large extent of the Laurissilva Forest, classified as patrimony of the humanity, as also for its houses of stem. The traditional houses of stem are considered the typical houses of Santana and widely are divulged, for the whole world, in publicity tourist posters. It is calculated that the houses of stem are vestiges of the primitive constructions, made wooden and of stem and that they met for all the island. The good plantation and production of the cereals and wood allowed the man to recur , in these times, to construct its habitations. Technical, this construction could be assigned of gable house, in form of inverted V, which stem reaches, in some cases, the level of the ground. These houses have three types of construction: the houses of gable of wire, houses of gable way wire and houses of four waters. The wire houses have the gable (frontispiece) triangular and are covered of stubble since the summit to the ground, forming two waters. These were composed for an attic where they keep agricultural products and for a terrestrial floor, generally housing area, that if found divided in two parts for a frontal.

estas casas en forma de V invertida, con sus tejados de rastrojo y sus bonitos colores llenan tu composiciσn con un buen nivel estιtico.
La arquitectura y los materiales de estas lindas casas me recuerdan un poco las tνpicas "barracas" valencianas.
Bonito trabajo, la luz es buena y los colores estαn bien saturados.

Ces maisons sont d'une architecture simple mais belle. Les anciens savaient construire solide avec les moyens du bord. Il est heureux que de nos jours on revienne sur ces faηons de faire. Belle lumiθre et belles couleurs !

Thanks for your critique of my klong shot in Sainoi. In "winter" the sky is most of the time blue in this part of Thailand, but there are other seasons in particular monsoon when the sky often is overcast

Recuerdo estas bonitas y tipicas construcciones y tengo una en mi galeria, pero me gusta mucho el angulo en que las has captado, me encanta este primer plano con esta original valla natural, las plantas y las tinajas, has logrado una buena armonia en el conjunto.
