All Greens&Smell of Blue, a photo from Acores, Islands

Photographer's Note

In this shot I return to my May/2005 Travelogue at S.Miguel Island in a volcanic place now a nature Lagoon near the village of SEVEN CITIES in the west part of S.Miguel Island, that is a well known place for tourists and photos of all the world. So I left Faial and Pico Islands in Pause for moments.

S.Miguel is situated in the Eastern part of Azores that is a nice beautiful Portuguese archipel of nine islands situated in the vast Atlantic Ocean somewhere half a way between Europe and North America and also a half way North and Equater hemisphere.

Thanks to Cristina, a very well kwown person, that lived is youth at this Island, that here is known by the nickname SNUGGLEAPHAGUS. So see her work sharing work in this place from another angle and for a very important complementary information addition here at near place: Link

This is one of the great and more international known Island Volcanic Lagoons in this Island and this capture photo focuses the GREEN LAGOON. As i said the small typical village is located at the left side of this frame.

IMPORTANT Note: As I know the longitude and latitude of the place but I have no Satelitte Map view of Azores Islands I added TWO Ws's with the surrounding paths to the local I took this picture. Please see also these pictures as a reference of the place.

TECHNICAL Information: Little cropped at the lower base and a smell of Contrast and Hue because I didn't use any Polarizer filter.

ISO=64 and Focal Lenght=45mm with my C-770UZ Camera.

All is green, a curved path and a Smell of Blue nature with good weather, near Midday and with the Sun rays approaching my frontal view.

AZORES is like a VIVALDI Four Seasons of simphony and weather condition in a natural atmosphere and ambience, also in a daily life cycle but with good warm climate.

This is a natural and preserved Island that have many people linked to United States, Canada, North Europe and Brazil in holidays, many Atlantic sailormen and also people natural of our Continental Portugal.

Vivid green or variety of greens. I like your shot for the good angle of shooting, the great sharpness throughout the scene and the sky and the water body in the center.

The horizon line with sky is merging and looking great.

Hi Fernando. I think you captured every imaginable shade of green in this one shot!! I must agree with the title of the post. Good sharpness brings out the details in the trees. I'm glad you didn't use a polarizer here as I think the colors would have suffered. Very well seen Fernando!

Relativamente a esta foto, ι uma excelente imagem cheia de cor. Desta paisagem lembro-me muito bem de quando fui lα em pequeno. Ι de facto de uma grande beleza e a foto mostra-a muito bem. Profundidade de campo cor fabulosos. POV magnνfico! Adoro a sombra das nuvens na paisagem e lago e acho piada ΰ curva da estrada lα em baixo, do lado esquerdo.

Os Aηores sγo sem dϊvida um destino que cada vez mais gostaria de visitar. Tenho visto imagens fantαsticas que me tκm motivado neste objectivo, e as paisagens como a desta foto as culpadas disso

Bom ponto de vista, com uma excelente clareza, nitidez e cores. O enquadramento ι tambιm bom embora talvez gostasse de ver um crop mais horizontal (na proporηγo dos 10x15 tradicionais) e que eliminasse parte do cιu quase atι ao horizonte, pois as nuvens brancas competem demasiado com a lagoa e nγo sγo tγo interessantes como esta.
