Wroclaw Bubbles
Bubble is a widely used popular word nowadays. The word is used in different, but recognizably related meanings.
1. The social circle with mostly like-minded people, often with the same social background, the same level of education and especially the same opinions. The view of other bubbles is limited by the distorted image of the bubbles and influences from outside are disturbed by the continuous confirmation of the equel views in the bubble.
2. Small circle of people who limit themselves as much as possible to mutual contact, in order to reduce the risk of contamination in a pandemic. The Covid bubble is a current example of this.
3. An information bubble is the result of a personalized search, in which a website algorithm tries to selectively determine what information the user would like to see, based on information about that user (such as location, previous click behavior and search history), and whereby users aren’t presented with information that contradicts their own point of view. This isolates users in their own cultural or ideological bubble.
4. A period when stock prices are hugely overvalued relative to true value. An example is the internet bubble of the late 1990s.
5. Bubble (physics), a globule of one substance in another, usually gas in a liquid.
But the most famous bubble is of course the SOAP BUBBLE, commonly referred to as a "BUBBLE"

What a cheerful trio of photographs!
Soap bubbles always seem to make us smile and there is no doubt about their effect on the children in your w/s.
Your main shot, using a shallow dof, creates a sphere of iridescent magic! It's like a translucent globe, obviously with the buildings in the southern hemisphere being upside down!

Maybe Lars told you I missed your photos (and probably many others also did)? ;-)
What a nice view of Wroclaw old town you present, covered with a thin layer of soft colours and with the nearest building shining through the bubble. It's an ingenious way to show a soap bubble and something I never tried. By a magical coincidence someone was producing soap bubbles in the same place at the time of my visit, but I wasn't very happy with the photos I took. Your are much better.

Hallo Rob,
Tegenwoordig hoor ik het woord bubble maar in ιιn betekenis gebruikt worden en hoe kleiner het cijfer waarmee men de bubble mag uitbreiden, hoe groter het probleem in de maatschappij.
Ik dacht eerst dat er een wereldkaart te zien was binnen in deze luchtbel maar het zijn weerspiegelingen van omringende gebouwen. Alleszins prachtige kleuren!
De foto in je eerste WS toont een luchtbelkunstenaar aan het werk.
Je timing bij de tweede WS was excellent. Het jongetje lijkt werkelijk te zeven.

Hallo Rob,
Mooi zo, ik begon alweer vragen te krijgen waar je toch was. Dit is een prachtige foto van al het bubbelplezier op het plein. Het rode logo vormt een mooie achtergrond en de kenner van de stad (of iemand die goed om mijn foto's tot nu heeft gelet) zal de gebouwen rond om het plein gemakkelijk kunnen herkennen in de spiegeling.

You have made the most of the shapes and colors of the bubbles, perhaps the main photo is not the best of perfection but I think it is definitely difficult to do better. hello Rob, The big colourful soap bubbles are such an invention
as hanging umbrellas and water jets from the pavement - they lost their originality as they can be seen everywhere in the world. Nice pictures from Wrocław.

Hello Rob, bubbles still fascinate me, bringing out the child in me!
Three fabulous pictures.
The reflections in the close up of the bubble are amazing, as we look through the rainbow coloured film of the soap and water.

Hi Rob,
It is impossible to make a choice between this and workshop. Joy of children is charming. And this is great for the pure technical excellence. Colour variations and reflections on the bubble are wonderful. And that bank sign in the background is perfectly placed.
