The Maltese lake - laid in Poznan on left formed in 1952 year the river bank, dam in result accumulation of stream Cybiny. Runnings over reservoir were begun during II world war when Germans began near use slavish labour enlarging existing fish-ponds. Reservoir occupies area 67,5 h maximally ( it depends from stages accumulations) meanwhile his length this about 2,2 km which acts him the the largest dam of city and second what to size. Average depth this somewhat over 3,1 m and maximum this about 5 m.
One's name lake took from the Knight ofMalta's Order. It occupies adherent prime paint formerly to Jerozolimskiego John's church extra muros in Poznan near which commandery of this order be comprised. At present the lake the state jeden of the best reservoirs on used to growing the aquatic sports world.
