Photographer's Note
Sourrounded by forest in the east of Poland, TE friend Jerzy took us to this little monastery and orthodox church - a quiet, very nice and special place.
Around the church lots of crosses. For remembering, for sorrow, for joy - for anything. At least for me a very interesting place to visit.
From time to time some of the nuns passed silently - as here by the church, amongst all the crosses - adding some interesting shadows on their path.

Ładnie uchwycony nastrσj miejsca. Ładnie zakomponowane. I świetna gra cieni i światła - trochę przewrotna. Bardzo na plus. Pozdrawiam - T.

Hallo Jack!
This really seems to be a special place. I never have seen such crosses. All seems a little bit mysterious...also because of the shadows ...
Thank you for showing this!
Greetings from Germany!

Bonjour Jack,
Cet endroit est trθs spιcial avec ces immenses croix. L'ιclairage est trθs intιressant et donne une curieuse atmosphθre.

Good impression from the Poland meeting, Jack, with this timeless-looking scene of the nuns traversing the churchyard. The play of light and shadows is particularly effective in this one and accentuates the rhythmic feel provided by the upward-reaching elements in front of the church.

It looks like you used a clariify tool here, Jack, and if so, that's what makes this pic very special. The contrast and the colors give a lot of depth to this image.
Also the poles are a very strong element in this image.
Very well done.

Great play of shadows, Jack. They are everywhere: on the pavement, on the wall, on the roof, even on the trees themselves. Interesting light and a nice silent moment.

Hello, Jack!
I like very much old churches and cemeteries. Especially those, on the east border of Poland. They are mystical witnesses of the old culture and age-old religious traditions. Interesting lighting and fine quality!

Hi Jack, very interesting composition of this monastery and the nuns. The specific tonality the crosses and the tall shadows make this one very atmospheric and I guess I see some PSP magic here. B.t.w.: after our HNY conversaton I downloaded PSP X as a trail version and it's indeed a fine product with the clarify tool as a very appealing tool. Thanx again.
Have a nice weekend,
Bert
