Photographer's Note
During the Podlasie Trekearth WOrkshop we stopped at a little town with a big church to take photos, there we found this lady who had lived through a lot. She told Jerzy about her experiences during the war and of being sent to a Gulag.

Salut Daniel,
Bien vu.
Amicalement,
Fabrice

I noticed your offered us a great Polish serie. Very touching story enhanced by the hard wall texture. Must be a hard life for her...

hi daniel,
although the composition is very good, i find this a bit out of focus (and in this particular portrait i'd like to seea perfect sharpness), therefore what drives my attention too much is the wall in the background, while it is the face that SHOULD be pin sharp;
best wishes, j.

Hi Daniel,
its a nice portrait because its not posed. She was talking with Jerzy when you got this one, right? She doesnt seem awar of being photographed and is instead focused on telling her story. Nicely managed light, those backgrounds can be killer with too much light.

Powerful portrait, Daniel, full of meaning and the weight of history. The granulated grey wall at the back is perfect for setting off her emotions and her lived-in face.
Bravo,
Francis

Hi Daniel,
Lovely portrait and a great composition. You have caught her expression right on the dot. I see some classic rules as guidelines, like the bigger space on the right and the slightly soft focus for a portrait which was popular at one time. I like the contrast of the background which bring out the expression of the lady very effectively. Well done!! Have an enjoyable day.

Nice and simple portrait good comosition and an interesting character as the subject. There is a very clean look due to the simple background but still some texture there.

Hola Daniel.
Me gusta la foto y el retrato en sν mismo. Puede que un poco mαs definiciσn y posiblemente el blanco y negro, puede que ayudaran un poco a la foto (tengo cierta debilidad por el blanco y negro).
Un saludo.

Bonjour Daniel...
It's a wonderful portrait photograph... It's very impressive too... Perfect moment and shot... The gray background, the details on her face and her look are very affective...
TFS...
Stay well..
Salim.
