He was sitting inside the communist theme park bar of the city of Hajnowka in eastern poland. He was playing cards and drinking a coke. His appearance looked so carefuly planned that he seemed to come straight out of a communist wall painting.

Hi Daniel,
it seems as if Lenin is looking at him. The man dressed like a revolutionary but consuming the most capitalistic drink of all. Nicely cropped, good cadrage. 3 important elements, nothing superfluous. Good work.

Hi Daniel,
Superb imagery. There is indeed irony here as while in many ways the fellow looks like he could be a Leninist sympathizer, a closer look changes perspective - he is much too cleancut, dressed trendily (yuppie) and is enjoying the most captialistic of beverages. I love the symbolism, the clarity of detail and the POV. This shot goes straight to my favourites. Well done.

Hello Daniel, I like the double portrait, especially Lenin in the dominant position in the top of the frame. But neither seems to have an interest in the other. Different times and different ideals perhaps.

Yes, this is an interesting composition with a lot of contradictory elements...The Coke and Stalin, his old fashioned clothing and the yellow bracelet of "Live Strong", one of the modern globalization phenomenon mimiced by others...Lots of contraditions in this scene! Well spotted!

a good one, i can envision this image in two other versions as well:
a) one without all those braceletts on the man's wrist
b) you being slightly lower so that the man's and lenin's faces would be in one line;
but i like this work,

I saw this photo of yours and had a 'dejα vu', because of the recent post of Jerzy. This must be a wonderful place with a great atmosphere and this guy really fits well in the atmosphere. I have to confess that I like more of his photo but your composition is also very good. Did you enjoyed meeting J.? I had a great time and I'm impressed with the quality of the first Portuguese post of him.
