Photographer's Note
Runde is the southernmost of the big Norwegian bird islands. With its 160 inhabitants the island belongs to the bridge- and fishery municipality Herřy. Runde has an exceptional variety of species - in fact all our sea-birds nesting in colonies represented. Most numerous is probably the tourists great favourite: the puffin. Difficult to count where it hides its nest in screens and holes in the ground. However there are thousands of pairs, perhaps hundreds of thousands. The kittiwake makes up the second giant colony with about 50.000 pairs. Buzzing and screaming they leave their unmistakable mark on the bird cliff. Biggest of all the inhabitants of the bird cliff is the beautiful gannet, blending white with orange lines across the head. The colony at Rundebranden is the biggest and oldest in Norway, one of only about 40 gannet colonies in the world.

Hi, Grzegorz. You've captured a splendid light here. I like the contrast between the dark rocky masses and the fluffy clouds that create different layers in your picture. This gives very good depth. Very nice orange hues in the sky.

This is a good, high impact shot with a beautiful distribution of colours. I particularly like the orange tones captured by the cloud and mist above the water. Good composition and great impact from the rays beaming down. Very good work.

mieszkasz w Norwegii? widze wiele pieknych ujec z tego kraju u ciebie! ale to przyciaga uwage bardziej niz inne [nie pomniejszajac uroku pozostalych fotografii] :) swietne swiatlo, kadr moze troche w lewo dalbym ale i tak ok!

Impressive Norwegian landscape, the light of the scene is spectacular, I like the colour of the sky and as the fog creates different contrasts in the horizon, a good image and great result.

a very dramatic shot and you have handled the exposure very well indeed, did you use graduated ND filters?
I would just like to see the slight tilt levelled out, otherwise a great shot, with good composition, lovely colours and full of atmosphere.
