Photographer's Note

I was having an evening walk at the beach when I had this nice view.
Actually I hate myself for not staying longer, about 15 minutes later the sky turned completely lava red and pinkish.
Too bad I missed that, but done is done...

The Island visible in the distance is the island of Rott, a small island just out of the harbour of Tananger, Norway.

I wish I could give some real info on this island, but info is very scarse on it.
Here is what I know:
The island of Rott is actually two islands linked together by a small road built sometime in the past, actually it is so small that when the sea is high it actually goes over the road.
The northern island is the inhabited island, though only one family lives here now there used to be something like 80 inhabitants out here. But sometime in the 50-60's the postoffice was closed down and most people moved from the island. Nowadays it is mostly used as a vaction location for residents on the mainland.

The southern island is the uninhabited island. What it lacks in building and people it makes up in nature and almost untouched wilderness. It has a small freshwater lake, although it is a rumor it is said to contain trout. In addition almost half the south island has been planted with a forest back in the 40-50's. Very creepy forest actually, as the trees are planted in rows they make up some interesting paths between the trees.
What the island of Rott and the southern island is most known for is the fact that it has the most southern bird colony in Norway, most southern in Europe some say as well. Because of this the southern tip of the island has been declared a national landscape preserve, and the rocky sothern tip is off limits for everyone between May and September.

I'm gonny try to persuade someone to give me a ride out to the island this summer, I haven't been there for almost 10 years so now is about time.

Please leave me some contructive critique on how to get better sunset photos, lately I have been having problems getting the correct colours.
