Photographer's Note
Lofoten | Fiskebψlvika | Melbu
After “hopping” from Moskenesψya - most southern island - to Vestvεgψy to Austvεgψy - the largest island of the Lofoten - we took a ferry from Fiskebol to Melbu. So in fact we left the Lofoten for the Vesterεlen islands. First island in the south west is Hadselψya.
Ferry connection between Vesterεlen and Lofoten. Before the E10 was finished in 2008 also the only connection to northern part of Lofoten. You can choose, either you go with the ferry which will be a short cut or you drive all the way around the E10. The E10 is passing very impressive nature and will be an amazing drive, but also quit time consuming. If you come from Andenes this ferry connection will save you at least 2 hours, if you catch it right away.
If you are coming or going to Tromsψ we recommend to take the ferry when you are coming from the North and take the E10 back when come from South.

Bonjour Vivian
You were really lucky with the weather. It was pouring rain when I reached the turnoff to Lofoten, although 2 Italian men I met on the ferry opted to go to Lofofen regardless, but I continued north to Narvik & Tromso. Even in Tromso, it was raining for 3 days before I was rewarded for my patience with a spectacular display of the Aurora Borealis when the clouds finally cleared. Good sharpness here & the jagged snow-capped peaks make a wonderful backdrop. Tfs!

Bonjour Viviane,
A magnificent Fjord picture with excellent light condition that enhanced blue tones and white colors.
The ferry wake gave strong sense of motion to the still photo.

Hi Viviane,
This is a true "record shot" of your long tour across Norway - but it is far more than just that! It is a beautiful photograph with gorgeous light, rich colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and clarity. And it's also been taken with perfect timing as your boat has swung around so that you've captured not only the magnificent view of snow-capped mountains but also the wake of your ship which provides a wonderful and effective "lead in" line to the distant view.
How nice too to include a few fellow passengers at the stern of your ship.
Gorgeous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Viviane,
You really had some glorious weather for touring and photographing.
This is really well timed shot!
The stern gives us the platform from which to view the scene, the curved wake is the perfect, natural guide and the black, snow tinged mountains are like something from another planet! It's superb!
There is a vey effective connecting line of white, all with different textures!
Enjoy your Sunday, big hugs,
Bev :-)

Hello Viviane, including part of the ferry you not only give context for this view but also the curved shape of the wake leading our eyes to the rugged mountains.
The sharpness and beautiful colours make a beautiful picture.
Regards Jean.

Hello Viviane
The diagonal pole on the left is a bit of a pity, I wonder if there was a way to avoid it. The view itself is brilliant though and I also like the inclusion of the people on deck. It must be a magical boat ride there.

Hi Viviane,
two months in Scandinavia! Wow!
It must be great to have a two months trip.
Breathtaking scenery here. Wonderful natural colors.
The fragment of the boat in the foreground adds a nice touch with the trails on the water decorating its surface nicely. Also the people play an important role since they help to better imagine the scale of this place. I think many people have been there but I didn't see many photos taken from the sea.
Very picturesque!
Excellent work,
M
