Photographer's Note
This is a photo taken in May this year. I was walking on the ridge of the Nordnes peninsula in Bergen as I was admiring the fine old architecture. Suddenly I saw this car in a perfect angle to get this building reflected on the hood. Luckily the car was clean enough to do the job.

Hej Erling,
Hδlsningar,

Hi Erling
Great reflection, the broken distortion looks wonderful on this building and it's a very fine building. I was trying to look at it upside down and my phone keeps auto rotating the screen :)
This is a style of building I would never see, I'm not sure it's real name but if call it Addams family style. The bright colors counter the creepy design. Very nicely seen
Cheers

Hello Erling,
Well observed!
The reflected blue and white colours of the building do fit the dark engine cover of the car very well.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Erling,
Spotted nicely and well chosen this point to take the hood reflection so well.
This would be almost impossible to take in Israel - you have to find a car immediately after it was washed and stood right where you want this to happened. (We have constantly dust particles in the air, even after the rain).
My best regards,
Ike

Hello Erling,
Such reflections in the roof or the hood of a car are always very interesting. You found a really nice building here, which is reflected wonderfully. The light brings out the fine blue tones very well too. Very well spotted and captured.

Hello Erling,
In my last book, "Leonardo's Universe," the publisher (National Geographic Books) chose 2-3 similar shots — architectural gems seen in a well polished car hood, reflections in puddles, etc. I am happy that you did not invert the photo, but posted it as the pedestrian sees it.
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Erling
Such a great idea! You made a great use of the reflection to create an original image. The cobbles visible in the corner add yet another texture to the mix.
Best wishes

Hello Erling,
a great observation and a lovely, praphic picture. It was great luck than the car was clean but also that the colours of the car, the building, the sky and the street were so harmonious and delightful. A wonderful image that, in my opinion, would look equally appealing if it were reversed. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, Merry Christmas!

Hi Erling
great to be back on TE after taking a break.
its fun to say that i know EXACTLY which building this is :)
i like how the reflected image is warped too, thats adds to its effect. Also, there's lot of blue which i like.
good eye to spot this one. cheers

Hello Erling,
I just love reflections like this, which show a subject but distort it is a very attractive, artistic way.
I'm sure I never noticed things like this until I took up photography, but it must be something that attracts many of us!
Well seen and beautiful captured.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
