Photographer's Note
Second in this serie of pcitures takien in the rigging of Statsraad Lehmkuhl during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race of 1993, a more complicated one, taken again in the fore mast, but from a higher point of view compared to yersterday's past.
There are a few thinks to comment here:
- in the center, the topsail yard (upper or lower or both, hard to tell),
- a bit of square sail in the top right corner,
- diagonally the deck and the bowsprit,
- and the furry masses around the stays are the protections for the sails (I have poste in a previous posted how they are made).
There is a bit of vignetting inthe top left corner, but I could not get rid of that one...

Hello Emmanuel.
I must say these shots from high up are so very different from the usual TE uploads. I think this one has interesting angles, great DOF and superb sharpness of the features on the deck far below. You've done a superb job to even get the photo taken from that position! The scan is pretty good, too, although there is some reddish hue in the water and ropes just to the right of the centre. But overall, it's an excellent 'old' photo.
