My first upload to trekearth after 8 years of absence will be this photo.
I shot this while hiking along the beaches of Jζren at Revtangen in Rogaland January 2nd 2011
Revtangen is probably the most extreme end of the windblown coast that is Jζren.
With many many miles of sandy beaches it is a must-go location for surfers, but expect warm temperatures and palm trees.rnrnUsually windblown and usually with cold water the site is most for viewing.
New year in 2011, new start for me now.
Good to be back!

Perhaps we should say, 'Welcome back!'
This is a beautiful photograph for a new start!
I like how you have anchored the f/g with the tuft of grass on the sand dune, and the tiny figures create the depth and focal point.
This is all set against a golden, twilight sky, with darkening red rimmed clouds.

Very dramatic seaside shot, Odd Jarle. I like the inclusion of the silhouettes on the beach and the black clouds. Welcome back. After such a long time, you'll find the site changed, but I hope you like it.
