Autumn in Dovrefjell mountain
One can safely say that Dovrefjell is the most beautiful "autumn mountain" in Norway, with its colors, wildlife and a number of plant species. Dovrefjell-Sunndal Mountains National Park is both special and vulnerable. Here are the last virtually intact mountain ecosystems in Europe with both wild reindeer, musk ox, wolverines and mountain fox in the natural coexistence.
The mountain is also known for its diverse flora, where mogop (Pulsatilla vernalis) are among the most familiar plants. The central landmark in the national park is Snψhetta, 2286 meters above sea level.
Dovrefjell is the mountain area on highway E6 between Dombεs and Oppdal.
Highest point on the road is 1,024 m above sea level, just north of Hjerkinn

A fantastic palette of colours, with the snow in the background. A place where nature plays with colors and light.
