Photographer's Note
Capturing the decisive moments of human emotion and enagement in life are also small vicarious victories for the photographers of people..............
My heart went in my mouth.......when I saw what you were doing....my eyes were your eyes.......I felt my stomach pop.....I could feel the cold air on my skin....how exciting was that......oh my god!.....it takes my breath away.......it had me worried for a moment.....such a rush.....my head was in a spin....i thought i'd be sick........but what an achievement.......I can't believe I did that........I would have been so scared but that was amazing.....I feel so good to be back on the ground again........silly me....of course I never left it.......but I feel like I did.....amazing..........
In the workshop a sneaky image of two TE friends from Spain discussing the merits of the latest image...........

Your powers of observation have never been moer acute, Kev. Nice timing - I like your note as much as the imaghe this time around, they compliment each other well. COol.

Hello Kev,
Very interesting moment you catched.
You are right, this is exactly a moment where the emotions are really at the decisive moment...
What I like also is the background and the duck sign looking at these two women..this is damn good! Just wondering if when clicking, you saw it before doing your composition?
regards

Great image, Kev. I love B&W for photos, it gives it a journalistic style which is awesome. You have good contrast here.
I tried to get a TE meeting in Venice but no takers, LOL! The one in Montreal was fabulous! Have a good Sunday.

You have definately captured human emotion and the decisive moment very well here. And it is enhanced even more in b&w. Good timing and place.

Nice timing, Kev, as it is quite usual for you. Focus on the eyes catch the glow in them. You do well in your narrative on what they might be animated about. Just that I seem to miss their surrounding because of the tight framing and shallow dof...in way that increases the mystery but it also leaves me dissatisfied somehow...perhaps a wider lens needed here?

Yes, the decisive moment, when emotions are forever recorded in 1s and Zeros... I love these ones. It's simplicity in its purest form. Love their expressions, their amazement, the light on their faces. The white smile/cry of the left girl is so beautiful. Great b&w and perfect sharpness (look at the zippers of her rain coat...). It's a great photo dear Kev!

This photograph is special because says more than milion words. The eyes, the eyes of the woman, looking God knows where, let us here in silence just waiting to hear what is coming next. Emotion, feeling, ecitment, surprise, and speacilay soul. Your image carry with it a soul, maybe that could describe what I tried to say, in this foreing language to me that is English! All the best!

i keep wondering what role that duck plays in this image :-))
i couldnt agree more with francis - your sharp eye helps you to capture things, moments, feelings that we humble mortals do not usually notice (nor see, in fact, and there is the difference there, between seeing and noticing)

Your stream of consciousness text really adds to this very lively shot. The different emotions are very well captured and are nicely isolated from the background by the shallow DoF -hehe de 5D with the 1,8 50 can deliver this in spades I guess. I love the duck too, he seems to be amazed by the emotions before him. Classic fair capture, love it.
best regards,
Bert

Wonderful moment, Gandalf. Truly a magician of the moment... while we hobbits are caring for our little piece of land, you are flying high... as these women must be... full of attention, sharing the same experience, beside the duck figurine next to them... a lovely and powerful moment of observation!
Good night from Ottawa, first snow today,

WOW Kev I wont say what what/who reminds me this photo because I prefer to do it in some other time together with a couple of paints on the way. The timing is so perfect but behing any technical consideration, there is so much TRUE (like this, with this capital letters) that I feel happily overwelmed by it. Great one.

Kev! One and only... Kev !

Story of glances...
This is indeed a decisive moment! But the mystery remains... What is it they are looking at? All of them, including the duck (for sure!), have a very interesting expression in their face.
Vicarious victories... for you. Can you imagine what it is for us? ;)
