Photographer's Note
And now something completely different. And it is very serious now.
The police of the island of Texel asks for your attention.
Since almost a week, a slipper is missed on the island of Texel. Only this one was found on the beach near the Texel light house, near the village of De Cocksdorp, but the other one is gone. This slipper here is very sad about the missing of his friend, but nobody else on the beach paid attention to him.
Discription:
The missing slipper is the left one of the pair and is probably blue, just as his friend.
If you have seen the other slipper or maybe know where he is, please contact the Texel police. You can also call the local police in your hometown.
Thank you very much indeed!
----
I was in a little doubt if this picture belongs to TE or TL, but I think TE is the best place, cos there's nothing special about the way I took this picture and there's no PP. Apart from that, I've also seen more pictures with the same theme like this one on TE.
As I said, no PP, only a frame and I sharpened ir a bit.
Hope you like it!

Ha ha ha!! very funny story Lars. Your description is poor, the size of the slipper is missing... :D
Very nice angle and DOF.

Lars,
So this is the scene of the crime - the evidence could have been moved though...
I guess this part of Holland has quite low crime rate? - or maybe the police is closing their eyes to other types of crime.
Good POV to capture this evidence. The beach looks enormous.
Thanks,
Magnus

Hi Lars! A funny note here and a wonderful low shooting angle. It's a unique angle that has a lot of visual pop. Now I see that the foreground is super sharp and the background is a little fuzzy. If you wanted that effect, that's great you got it. But if you would prefer to have more stuff in focus just switch to Aperture priority mode and change it to 8. You probably know all of this but I just thought I would point this out seeing that you had loads of headroom to increase the f/ number with the 1/1000th second exposure. Either way is fine with me, I just want YOU to be happy! :) Very nice work despite my digressing!

Hey Lars!

Hi Lars,
If you look again at "Murder in the snow" you certainly find the solution.
Fine picture with perfect DOF and POF

Hi Lars, I like the low view angle you have in taking this picture. We can see the steam come out from the sand. I guess you were taking this picture from a deep sand trap.
A funny slipper in the front and all humans are so small in far away area.
Nice composition and have fun.

They say that the criminal aways return to the scene So there's some suspect person in your shot too. Maybe the Dutch law enforcement should hold a third degree on them.
A great shot with a fantastic compo. Simple an very effective.
Super Lars

The chosen POV and DOF gives a very nice and poetic mood.
Well composed.

Hee Lars,

Hahaha very funny text. I really like the point of view that you selected, very good and original angle. I think that this shot does belong on TE.
Nicely done.

Dag Lars,
Groeten,
John.

Hi Lars! A very curious photo and a funny note...
I like mainly this low perspective and the depth, which contribute to make this one a very nice and good composition!

Hej Lars,
I find pleasant surprises in your galery, everyday. This original experience is an outstanding one! You gave me a big laugh time with your note. The shot is wonderful, making an artwork of a simple slipper. I love the DOF, given by this low angle and the people in the background. Congratulations!

A funny idea, a bit tricky on the technical side (a bit grainy in the background for example). I suppose you were laying flat on your stomach on that one. But the small silhouettes slightly blurrred in the background make the image look a bit like a mirage in the desert.
All the best,
Emmanuel
