Photographer's Note
The winter continues for the second day here. This is about five minutes walk from my home. I normally walk this stretch without really "seeing" it. Surprising how a little snow makes you "see" again.

Goedenavond Elaine,
Ja de winter komt wat laat maar neemt meteen een behoorlijk winterprik, met sneeuw en vorst.
Natuurlijk droomt Nederland van een 11 stedentocht, maar dat zal er vermoedelijk niet aankomen, mag van mij wel.
Uw foto laat nog een open vijver water watervogels nu nog terecht kunnen
Heerlijke zacht winter kleuren om te genieten van uw wandeling.

Hello Elaine,
It’s surprising how even local places take on a pleasing, new look when dressed in snow!
I like your composition, using the winter tree so effectively to link together the bank and the water, almost directing attention to the pair of swans.
The icy f/g gives a different texture to the snow; it’s really attractive!
The swans and ducks make great focal images.

Hello Elaine,
I would certainly like to see more swans and ducks in my local streets. If there were any, I am sure I would notice them, snow or not. I like the soft light and limited range of pale colours. Swans make most photos look nicer.

Hello Elaine,
This wintery nature scene is shown in a very attractive composition and with excellent sharpness and depth.
The water in front also shows some ice. Still, the ducks and geese seem to be having a good time.
I learned that it has been nine years since it was so cold. Consequently, we cannot complain.

which is so eye catching..
the temperature in Greece
the last days is about 24 degrees
almost spring....
but the new are bad....soon the
weather will change with snowfalls
and low temperatures...

Hi Elaine,
We had some snowfall as well, and it still didn't melt. Maybe tomorrow I will have a chance to go and take a photo in our park as well.
