Photographer's Note

A picture taken yesterday afternoon, it was a splendid spring day this on March 21 the beginning of spring, excellent for a my daily bicycle trip.
This wooden bridge connects the inner and the outer wall with each other. On the side where I stood to take the picture, there is a biking trail around the walls.
The Southgate (Zuidpoort). Untill 1399, there was a wooden gate here, which was replaced with the current construction. The brick gate was finished in 1406, but it was a lot larger than it is now. The upper construction was torn down when the town walls were reinforced in the 17th century. If you want to know more about these Mill, check my previous post of the Mill.
