Photographer's Note
Team effort
Allthough this is shot on the Binnenhof, the political centre of the Netherland, we don’t see here members of parliaments or ministers putting in team effort. These are Belgian workmen, hoisting a transparant tarpulin on to the roof of the giant stage of the Binnenhof Festival. The Binnenhof has also a cultutal function.
In the background on the left is an annex of The Ridderzaal (Great Hall), where the queen holds her annual speech from the throne addressing the members of parliament and the council of ministers.
See the WS for a wider view with the facade of the 'Ridderzaal'.
Captured during a an inspiring photo shoot with Rob - Alvaraalta and Lars - Tue.
A pic of Rob is here. One of Lars is here.
PCS3 tech: altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, using different layers, enhanced the edges, USM-ed, added a frame and resized and did a gentle USM again.

Hallo Bert,

Mooi werk!
Fijne avond verder!
Groeten,
Lars

Hallo Bert,
Voormalige LPF-ers o.i.d. : )
Groet Rob

Hi Bert,
Amazing compo, the tilted view is very good to see the men at vertical and to feel their effort! It's really possible to feel it, their concentracion at work. The varied plans in the background are too very interesting by the light's combinations! It's a wonderful daily-life shot! Congratulations!
Greetings,
Angel.

The psicological side of photo, the tilt works fantastic making almost me, like helping them, like sharing the task to get the things right. Also the buildings looks like a nice place to visit. Thanks Bert,
Miguel

Hi Bert,
Just the right tilt here with the vertical elements combining with good light to produce a great result. I like the dynamism here. There are at least three distinct architectural styles represented in the surrounding buildings. Very fine work.

Hoi Bert,
Groeten, Dennis

I love the contrast in this image. It's particularly attractive on the building with the windows. I understand your reasons for the tilt but I can't make up my mind about it. Wouldn't a normal view show the men more horizontal in their effort? Anyway I still like the image; just wondering about the alternative.

Hi Bert,
A very dynamic shot and really enjoy this tilted picture. I actually get the feeling that they are on board a sailing ship in a storm. Very amusing picture. TFS.
Cheers,

A daily life moment, well composed, with the tilt and the natural urban design. Great tones.

Hi Bert
I like this shot, the way you tilted the frame makes it look like it is the guys pulling it down.
Nice effect

Hello Bert,
a model shot as the angle of this capture. The effort of these Belgian workmen trying to lift up the tarpulin on the roof of the Binnenhof Festival.I like the colours and the light as the sharpness and the clarity.Well done Bert.

Bonjour Bert,
To have automaticaly taken that point of view is very significatif for the accuracity of your "photographer eye"!... ;o) - WOW! it was not easy to translate my thoughts in English and it must be filled with spelling and grammatical mistakes but I'm sure you've understand what I meant???
Everything is in that point of view and the typical "Daily Life by Bert" works, bravo!
