McDonnel Douglas MD-11 of KLM landing at Sint Maarten, just after sunset.
MD-11 was the successor of DC-10, but it never became a real success story. Just 200 of them were manufactured between 1988 and 2000. The aircraft did not have much chances to stay in production after merger of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas.
October 25th, 2014 was the last day of MD-11 in scheduled passenger service. But most of those 200 still fly, now earning their living as freighters.
