Photographer's Note

When the activity on TE is less and less other possibility to meet friends virtually and to share joy of travelling is on Facebook. Many people who are absent here are quite active there. Facebook is in many aspects opposite - there are no rules, you can post whatever you want, in whatever time, no need to write long notes and critiques, enough just to put "like" or a few words. When you have no time it is much easier. When I have some pictures from the place, the problem is what to choose. On FB I can post them all! Nice when it is not instead of TE but just complimentary. For me, interesting is to compare response for the same pictures. Very often the photo with a great success on one site seems not interesting on the other. So after this long intro my experiment: this photo was very successful on FB with over 70 likes. How it will be here?

The reason to go to Paola (only 5 pictures here) was to see Hypogeum.
The Hypogeum of Ħal-Saflieni is a subterranean structure dating to the Saflieni phase (3300-3000 BC) in Maltese prehistory, located in Paola, Malta. It is often simply referred to as the Hypogeum (Maltese: Ipoġew), literally meaning "underground" in Greek. The Hypogeum is thought to have been originally a sanctuary, but it became a necropolis in prehistoric times, and in fact, the remains of more than 7,000 individuals have been found. It is the only known prehistoric underground temple in the world.
it was very interesting but no photos were allowed. But also the town was quite nice. Here the view of traditional balconies.
In Paola there is also the only mosque in Malta. Strange in the country with so many catholics and churches everywhere. Another thing: many people in Poland asked me if i saw refugees. No, I have heard that there are many of them, but where they are? I haven't seen anyone.

Big beta picture

After reading some of your comments.
Of course, I think that TE is the best site for someone like me - traveller and photographer (even poor). There is no other site where I can see in every moment the pictures from the place I am interested in, descriptions, who was there, what he/she liked and so on. I can ask and discuss things on Forum. What can be better than a beautiful photo with the good title, interesting, often personal note and good critique to own picture? No doubt about it. But reality is as it is. Now I see Jason, Paolo, Santo, Gunnar, Rosemary, and many many others ONLY on FB. I am sad about it.
