The Daugava is a river rising in the Valdai Hills, flowing through Russia, Belarus, and Latvia and into the Gulf of Riga. The total length of the river is 1,020 km (630 mi),[1] of which 325 km (202 mi) are in Russia.
The Riga Radio and TV Tower (Latvian: Rīgas radio un televīzijas tornis) in Riga, Latvia is the tallest tower in the European Union. It was built between 1979 and 1989 with funding from the central government of the Soviet Union. Its highest point reaches 368 metres (1,207 ft),† which makes it the third tallest tower in Europe (after the Ostankino Tower at 540 metres (1,770 ft) and the Kiev TV Tower at 385 metres (1,263 ft)) and the 15th tallest self-supporting tower in the world.

Piotr, that tower is actually a giant radio and Tv antenna. It dominates Riga and it is visible from everywhere in the city. The viewpoint offers a nice panorama of the Daugava river. That part of the capital has many green spaces. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.

miniaturka wygladala na Paryz.
Dopiero po otwarciu wieza okazuje sie nieco roznic od Wiezy Eiffela.
To ogromna satysfakcja odwiedzac nieco mniej znane miejsca i moc sie nimi pochwalic.
Bardzo atrakcyjny panoramiczny widok w mniej popularnym kierunku.
Swietny reportaz!
Teraz kiedy juz zniesiono wizy do Petersburga mam mniej wymowek zeby sie tam udac ale nawet jesli to nie uda mi sie zaliczyc wszystkich Baltyckich krajow za jednym razem, moze kiedys w przyszlosci...

Wonderful skyline depicting a neat looking river town with fabulous colour, great dof and angle light. The stand out tower has somehow offers a strong focal point and balances the compo nicely. A lovely shot taken from a most sensible pov, Excellent.

Lovely view of the river. I like the looks of the tower, it is elegant. I am sure, if it were as old as the Eiffel Tower (or close in age to it), it would be just as famous. 👍🏻👍🏻
